I hope everybody is keeping safe and are indoors. While I advocate all things adventurous and fun at all times, now is not the time to venture out and explore.
Coming from someone like me who finds it very hard to keep still for long, you should be taking this advice.
The rate at which the COVID – 19 virus is spreading is alarming. While it is true that it is only fatal for those with health complications, compromised immunity systems, the aged and the like, it is important that we be responsible citizens and make sure that we do not become vehicles for the virus. Can we all do that? Yes please. Pretty sure you can find plenty of things to do at home.
Something else we can do is make sure that our immunity systems are in top condition. For this, my go-to method is to consume as much immunity boosting food and drinks as possible. One such recipe that I absolutely love is my turmeric milk recipe that is as wonderful to your system as it is to your tongue.
Turmeric contains curcumin which is a known antioxidant and is known for its anti-inflammatory qualities. It has also been used in ayurvedic medicine from time immemorial and is known to be beneficial for everything from Alzheimer’s, age-related diseases and heart disease. While it is very difficult for the body to simply absorb curcumin as is, adding a tiny bit of pepper is always recommended as the pipperin compound in pepper helps absorb the curcumin effectively.
So I give you something to drink today – my turmeric milk recipe.
Keep in mind that this is simply a precaution, a general good-to-drink beverage and not a cure for anything. It is also a fun thing to make because – hello, almost everyone I know is pretty much at home bored out of their heads?
